Terms & Conditions

Carrick Container Services Ltd (Carrick) hires equipment solely in accordance with the following terms and conditions. Equipment covers all types of container and accessories which Carrick agrees to hire and all ancillary services which Carrick agrees to provide.

Hire Terms & Conditions

  • A Hire Agreement commences on the date the equipment is delivered to the Hirer and terminates on the date the equipment is returned to Carrick in good condition normal wear excepted.
  • The Hirer is liable for all damage or loss until the equipment has been returned to Carrick.
  • The Hirer shall at his own expense keep all equipment hired from Carrick insured against loss, damage,theft and destruction.
  • Carrick shall not be responsible for, and the Hirer shall save Carrick and its agents harmless from, any and all claims arising out of or incident to the use of the equipment by the Hirer.
  • The Hirer shall pay the taxes and charges arising out of or incident to the use of the equipment by the Hirer.
  • A Hire Agreement may not be assigned nor the equipment sublet to others without written authorisation by Carrick.
  • Unless otherwise agreed hire charges are due 30 days from the date of the invoice.
  • If a Hirer defaults in the due and punctual payment of any sum payable under a Hire Agreement, Carrick may terminate the Agreement either by notice in writing or by taking possession of the equipment.
  • Hire Agreements are governed by Scots Law and the Hirer submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.

Sale Terms & Conditions

  • Carrick offers no warranties whatsoever in respect of any equipment sold.
  • Unless expressly stated all equipment is sold as seen.
  • Delivery of the equipment does not imply any transfer of title to the equipment.
  • Transfer of title passes only when payment in full has been received by Carrick.
  • Equipment sales are governed by Scots Law and a Purchaser submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.
